With over two decades of professional experience, Azli has had deep exposure to structured finance, investments and M&A across sectors such as energy, aviation, TMT and e-commerce. Currently, he is the Managing Director of Siemens Energy Malaysia with a focus on driving change by enabling new energy solutions. Azli was with GE, with his last position being the Chief Operating Officer for Malaysia’s operations. He was also based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, during his stint with Mubadala Investment Company.

Azli has held a series of C-level roles in publicly listed companies in Malaysia, such as Chief Strategy Officer of Malaysia Airports, Chief Transformation Officer of AirAsia Group (now Capital A), and Chief Ventures & Sustainability Officer for AEON Group Malaysia. Previously, he served as a Board Member at Malaysia Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), the key agency for developing Malaysia’s startup ecosystem.

Azli is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a FastWorks Practitioner, and an Agile Certified Scrum Master. He has received training at Crotonville, GE's premier Leadership Development Center, attended the Executive Financial Leadership Program at INSEAD, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Universiti Utara Malaysia.
